The Elephant & Castle Hotel, Newtown (Powys)

The hotel is located at the end of the main street, next to the river, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and bars, offering a lively atmosphere. The rooms were warm but could use a handrail by the bath/shower. Although the cleanliness could be improved, the room was spacious for two with plenty of towels.

The hotel is situated in a central area, close to bars and pubs, making it convenient for nightlife activities. The rooms were generally clean, but there was dust on the light fitting. The staff was welcoming and helpful, except for a minor incident on check-out. The dining experience was good with a lovely bar and breakfast service. Overall, a decent stay but had some noise disturbances during late hours.
